The Product Line Leader – In Vessel UT (Ultrasonic Technology) will own the growth, vitality, and lifecycle strategy for the In Vessel UT Inspection Team.

Essential Responsibilities

As the Product Line Leader – In-Vessel UT, you will:

  • Be responsible for Product Line Management of Inspection Services Boiling Water Reactor (BWR) In-Vessel UT Examination Team
  • Be responsible for maintaining Quality and Standards of work performance with compliance to the Boiling Water Reactor Vessel and Internals Project (BWRVIP)
  • Oversee Commercial Operations input to the outage scope of supply (staffing, tooling, etc.) to ensure accuracy of proposals (Inquiry-to-Order (ITO) and Order-to-Remittance (OTR) functions)
  • Be responsible for financial performance (proper ITO estimates) for meeting margin goals
  • Working closely with Field Delivery Team to ensure strong performance to cost / schedule
  • Provide leadership for Project Managers, Project Level III, Data Analysts, Field Engineers and teams delivering services to global BWR fleet
  • Interact with senior level customers and suppliers on commercial, technical & compliance issues and work within an integrated services team
  • Be responsible for flawless field delivery by teams during the In-Vessel UT window during reactor outages
  • Drive product line tooling improvement and new technologies
  • Drive productivity and growth initiatives for UT examinations
  • Provide customer interface with all GE Hitachi customers and Field Project managers from ITO through OTR
  • Interface with customers on GE Hitachi best practices to provide continuous improvement for In Vessel UT services
  • Develop and standardize all UT / Eddy Current processes

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering or Science discipline (OR a High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 5 years of project management experience)
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in leading field teams at client locations and leading design engineering teams at the home office
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience with contract language, commercial contracts, negotiations, and face-to-face customer meetings
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in BWRVIP, American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) and Information Systems, Inc. (ISI) programs implemented by nuclear plantsELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
  • Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally 35%, as required
  • Ability and willingness to work in radiation controlled areas and radioactively contaminated areas

 

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

Desired Characteristics

 

  • Certified ISI Level III in Ultrasonic Technology
  • Experience with product commercialization via NPI tollgate process
  • BWR site experience including project management
  • Plant outage detailed planning and scheduling
  • Knowledge of GE Hitachi Nuclear Energy products, processes, customers, markets and competition
  • Green Belt Certification or equivalent Quality Training (GE Employees ONLY)
  • Strong strategic development and execution skills.
  • Understanding of financial tools (i.e. sales, costs, margin, accruals, etc.) and systems (Oracle, ERP, Cognos etc.)
  • Strong technical knowledge and experience in working with in the Inspection Services field and in particular ultrasonic technology
  • Strong customer centricity skills & ability to interface at all levels of Nuclear Power Plant Leadership teams
  • Strong project management / presentation / PC skills
  • Proven leadership capabilities with ability to motivate others and achieve results and be a change agent driving technical leadership for this product line
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
